Freudenstadt

Freudenstadt is known for its beautiful historic market square with the Protestant town church. The L-shaped design of the church is rare and gives it a unique appearance. Lined with beautiful residential buildings, charming boutiques and cozy restaurants, the market square is the town’s meeting place par excellence. A total of 50 fountains provide a cool atmosphere in the streets of the old town even in summer.

Northern Black Forest Nature Park

The Black Forest Nature Park Central/North is the largest nature park in Germany. Extensive nature, a unique topography and the typical atmosphere of the Black Forest transform the stay into a fairytale experience. A trail network of over 10,000 km invites you to hike, bike and discover.

Nagold

Nagold is located on the eastern edge of the Black Forest and is surrounded by steep, forested slopes. A settlement at this place is already proven more than 4000 BC. Also many testimonies from the time of the Romans have been preserved until today, first of all the very well preserved viaduct, which surrounds the town. Other sights are the medieval city wall and the ruins of Hohennagold Castle.

Alsace

Alsace is a region of great historical and cultural value. Especially the legendary Strasbourg captivates visitors. Famous for its numerous sights such as the neighborhood “La Petit France” or the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, the city is also the seat of the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights.

Lake Titisee

Lake Titisee is the most beautiful bathing lake in the Upper Black Forest! The lake has simply great water and is ideal for swimming, sailing, windsurfing, pedal boating.

Hohenzollern Castle

Hohenzollern Castle is located near Hechingen on the edge of the Swabian Alb, it is the ancestral seat of the Hohenzollern dynasty. The castle was probably built in the 11th century. In its history it was destroyed several times, the last time it was rebuilt in 1850-1867.

Strasbourg

French: Strasbourg, Alsatian: Strossburi, is more than 2000 years old. Today, with 274,000 inhabitants, the city is the largest city in Alsace and the seventh largest city in France, with the suburbs it is even 430,000.

Mercedes Benz Museum

The Mercedes-Benz Museum is able to present the more than 135,000 year history of the automotive industry from day one without any gaps. On nine levels with 16,500 square meters of space, 160 vehicles and a total of more than 1,500 exhibits can be seen.

Porsche Museum

The Porsche Museum is one of the most spectacular automobile museums in the world. At times, 95 vehicles are arranged there on an exhibition area of 5,600 square meters. Since 2009, the Porsche Museum has been presenting the history and fascination of the brand in a lively and modern way.

Gutach Vogtsbauernhöfe

The Vogtsbauernhof has been on site since 1612, but the open-air museum was only opened in 1964. Since then, the museum has been constantly expanded. More farms were added, which were dismantled at their original location and rebuilt in the open-air museum.

Ruhestein National Park Center

The Ruhestein, located at about 900 meters above sea level, is the ideal starting point for a first exploration of the Black Forest National Park.

Alpirsbach

Alpirsbach is located in the upper Kinzig valley, about 20 km south of Freudenstadt. The town is best known for its local brewery.

Lake Mummel

Lake Mummel is a cirque lake at 1028.5 meters above sea level on the slope of the Hornisgrinde in the Black Forest. It is 3.7 hectares in size and 18 meters deep. it is one of the most visited lakes in Baden-Würtemberg, as it is located directly on the Black Forest High Road.

Schramberg car museum

The Black Forest town of Schramberg is making a name for itself – with a landscape of museums that is unique in Germany – the “Auto- und Uhrenwelt Schramberg”. A museum mecca has grown up in Schramberg, which, with 8,000 square meters of mobile contemporary history, can be counted among the very large units in Germany.

Alternative Wolf & Bear Park

The Alternative Wolf and Bear Park in Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach in the Black Forest is the second of its kind in Germany after Worbis and was opened in 2010.

Dornstetten

The town of Dornstetten is located in the northern Black Forest approximately in the center of the Freudenstadt district. Its territory stretches along the edge of the heavily crushed shell limestone terrain in the Freudenstädter Graben.

Adventure Golf Freudenstadt

Unlike miniature golf, Adventure Golf is played directly on 18 individually designed courses with a length of 15 to 25 meters. The course goes up and down, over Germany’s largest market square, through the Friedrichsturm and a large cuckoo clock, over a stream, onto a small island and past forest animals.
